The event name color is controlled by the H3 setting and the date is controlled by the H4 setting. Both can be disabled from automatically showing in Edit General Settings at the top next to 'Project information to display.' The font size cannot be changed for these, but it can be changed for the 'headline' text. The font style can be changed, but there are only three separate settings: for the main text, the headers, and the navigation.
